Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna Decline Headline Offers for Coachella 2025

Fans hoping to see Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna headline Coachella 2025 may be disappointed, as both stars have reportedly turned down the opportunity.

According to Bloomberg, Lamar is already committed to the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in February and is rumored to be planning a stadium tour for next year. Rihanna, who headlined the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2023, is reportedly uninterested in the Coachella offer, despite the lucrative payout and exposure.

The search for Coachella 2025 headliners continues, with festival promoter Paul Tollett facing challenges securing major acts.

Recent trends show that stars like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift can earn up to $15 million in a single night from solo shows, compared to Coachella’s $8 to $12 million for both weekends.

This shift in artist earnings has made booking top-tier talent increasingly difficult, especially after Frank Ocean’s controversial performance in 2023, which tarnished the festival’s reputation due to a late start and early end to his set.

As Coachella aims to bounce back after two years of not selling out, the pressure is on to find acts that can guarantee a sold-out 2025 edition.
