Gabriel Moses had an exceptional year in 2024, marked by key achievements across photography and film. He released his first monograph with Prestel Publishing, a retrospective highlighting his innovative exploration of Blackness and cultural identity, following the success of his solo exhibition at 180 Studios in London. Additionally, Moses was named a finalist for the Artsy Foundations Prize, with his Baroque-inspired, figurative work earning a spotlight at the Foundations art fair. Known for his evocative use of diffused lighting and textured backdrops, Moses continued to garner acclaim for his visual storytelling, cementing his reputation as a trailblazing artist blending heritage and contemporary aesthetics.
He also collaborated with renowned artist and friend Slawn and fashion designer Mowalola on Brother’s Keeper, a special edition for I-D magazine. Gabriel Moses’ 2024 collaborations showcased his versatility and artistic innovation. He partnered with Denim Tears on a limited-edition apparel collection tied to his “FATIMA” exhibition in New York, blending fashion and fine art. Additionally, he worked on a campaign for Mercedes-Benz, contributing his distinctive visual style to A$AP Rocky‘s capsule collection, which combined high fashion with automotive culture. Moses also directed a film for Corteiz‘s Nike collaboration, further cementing his role in shaping contemporary visual narratives.
