BAPE AND MASTERMIND JAPAN RELEASE THEIR 16TH COLLABORATION WITH TROPICAL SKULL CAMO

BAPE and mastermind JAPAN have launched their highly anticipated 16th collection, set to drop on August 8–9, 2025, at select BAPE STORE® locations in Japan such as Harajuku, Kyoto, and Ginza, and via the online shop on August 9.

Titled Tropical Skull Camo, the collection merges mastermind’s iconic skull-and-crossbones motifs with BAPE’s signature wildlife camo. Central to the drop is a satin-tone camp-collar shirt and matching shorts set, featuring grayscale tropical foliage and botanical motifs interwoven with the duo’s mascots, a graphic that feels both punk and paradisiacal.

Alongside the standout summer set, the capsule includes acid-wash T-shirts and trousers laden with graphic overlays, some combining skulls with BAPE’s star and ape head logos, others presenting clean panels with dramatic sheen and tonal styling.

This collection reunites two Japanese streetwear giants under the shared ethos of “Fearless Expression.” In this 16th collaboration, mastermind brings its dark aesthetic while BAPE contextualizes it within tropical backdrops, creating an unexpected fusion that feels both nostalgic and forward.
