BRAIN DEAD X ADIDAS RELEASE STRIKING NEW VARIATION OF JAPAN LO’S

Collaborators Brain Dead and adidas are releasing a striking new variation of the Japan Lo silhouette, dubbed the “Flame‑Grilled” edition, set to launch on August 28, 2025, for US $140.

This dynamic take stays true to the Japan Lo’s minimalist structure while adding a unique flair: suede overlay stripes at the toe cap and heel are dressed in flame-inspired hairy suede, enhanced with thick ignited motifs and contrast outlines. The shoe includes hairy suede laces, a suede heel pull tab, and a vintage off-white midsole that elevates the retro aesthetic.

The release comes in two vivid colorways. One palette marries brown leather, olive tones, and mustard-yellow flames for a rugged, earthy union. The other opts for black and white leather with blue accents and flame detailing, offering a more graphic, high-contrast option.

Initially teased during Paris Fashion Week’s 2025 showroom preview, this design fits into Brain Dead’s broader adidas lineup, including Mexico-inspired sneakers, bowling-shoe hybrids, and turf-textured reinterpretations.
