Montreal skate crew Dime and heritage skate brand Vans are breaking new ground with the Skate Era Stub, an evolution of the iconic Era silhouette. The shoe debuts as a fresh take that preserves its roots while injecting performance-driven upgrades and a sleek, stubby aesthetic.
A single but radical design tweak: the addition of eight lace eyelets (versus the standard five), pushing the lacing down for a shorter, more modern toebox characteristic of the “stub” design. Equipped with Vans’ latest skate tech: SickStick™ rubber for superior grip, PopCush™ insoles for impact protection and energy return, and Duracap™ reinforcement in high-wear zones for lasting durability.
Launching in two minimalist monochrome colorways: all-white with blue/tan striped midsoles and taupe with gum soles, that echo Dime’s understated yet expressive sensibility. The Skate Era Stub drops on August 30, 2025, available exclusively online via Dime, onsite at the Dime Glory Challenge (celebrating its 10th anniversary), and select Vans Skateboarding retailers.
Campaign visuals feature crew members including Conor Neeson, Max Wasangu, Una Farrar, Alexis Lacroix, and Leon Chapdelaine, reinforcing the skate community roots of both brands.
