The first official teaser for Michael, the upcoming biopic about Michael Jackson, dropped on November 6 2025, offering a glimpse into the ambitious project that has been beset by delays and controversy.
In the trailer, Jackson’s nephew Jaafar Jackson takes centre stage, stepping into his uncle’s iconic looks, complete with signature hats, red-leather jackets and the moonwalk. The film charts the King of Pop’s journey, from early performances through the rise of the Jackson 5 to full-scale solo superstardom.
Directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan, Michael promises a sweeping view of Jackson’s life, though the trailer notably omits the many controversies that have followed the superstar, a choice that has already drawn commentary from media outlets.
