The Weeknd has once again teamed up with Playboi Carti, dropping a new music video for their latest collaboration, “Timeless.” Following their previous partnership on 2023’s “Popular,” which also featured Madonna, the duo reunited for a bold and gritty visual. Directed by Gunner Stahl, the music video showcases the pair in an eerie, dimly lit warehouse, with Carti sporting a unique style: a backward Allen Iverson football jersey, Opium chains, and a do-rag, topped off with a horned hat.
This is the second single from The Weeknd’s much-anticipated Hurry Up Tomorrow album, which is set to close out the After Hours/Dawn FM trilogy. The haunting atmosphere of the video, combined with scantily clad dancers and Carti’s standout look, sets the tone for what’s to come on the album.
Fans have shown excitement for this collaboration, flooding the video’s YouTube comment section with praise, including calls for more joint projects from the artists. The video, released hot on the heels of The Weeknd’s “Dancing in the Flames,” which was shot entirely on the iPhone 16 Pro, continues to build anticipation for his upcoming sixth studio album.
