Olivier Rousteing’s 15-year journey at Balmain has been marked by a distinctive blend of glamour and streetwear, culminating in his latest men’s resort collection for 2025. This collection serves as a tribute to his enduring impact on the brand, showcasing his unique handwriting and iconic biker styles woven into the very fabric of the designs.
The 2025 resort collection reimagines Balmain’s signature tailored silhouettes through innovative configurations and surreal trompe l’oeil graphics.
Rousteing introduces sharp monochrome suiting paired with hybrid pieces, where cropped blazers incorporate elements from leather motorcycle jackets and washed denim trucker styles.
Notably, the spectral image of his trademark biker jeans is printed on both sides of solid trousers, while Balmain motorcycle jackets feature prominently on the front of tops.
Among the collection’s highlights, a charcoal grey t-shirt stands out with elegantly draped details reminiscent of classical Greek and Roman statues.
As the collection unfolds, Rousteing’s handwriting appears in varying scales, from large cursive inscriptions to delicate micro scribbles.
Embodying Rousteing’s maximalist aesthetic, the collection concludes with bold statements, including a second-skin long-sleeve top adorned with iridescent sequins that form the outline of a sculpted male torso.
