TEMS PERFORMS AT THE MUSEUM OF MODERN ART 16TH ANNUAL FILM BENEFIT

The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) held its 16th Annual Film Benefit on October 23, 2024, honoring Samuel L. Jackson for his prolific film career, which includes over 150 films. 

MoMA celebrated Jackson’s achievements and his impact on the film industry, highlighting his dynamic roles, collaborations with directors like Spike Lee and Quentin Tarantino, and his ability to inspire audiences. 

In his acceptance speech, Jackson reflected on his passion for storytelling, his journey, and the importance of film in shaping lives.

The event featured a tribute series showcasing some of Jackson’s most iconic films, such as Pulp Fiction and Changing Lanes.

 Additionally, The Piano Lesson, his latest project directed by Malcolm Washington, premiered during the tribute series. 

Hosted by Chanel, the benefit also included appearances from Denzel Washington, Walton Goggins, and Spike Lee, among others.

Grammy-winning singer Tems performed live, concluding the night with hits like “Wait For U” and “Free Mind”.
