For nearly four decades, SummerJam has stood as Europe’s premier reggae and dancehall festival, bringing the heat to Cologne’s Fühlinger See every summer. What started as a celebration of Caribbean rhythms has evolved into a multicultural gathering that blends reggae, dancehall, hip-hop, and Afrobeats, drawing thousands of music lovers from across the globe. Now in its 38th edition, the festival continues to expand its sonic borders, embracing new sounds while staying true to its roots.
In 2025, SummerJam is set to return from July 4th to 6th, promising a lineup that reflects the ever-growing intersection of reggae, dancehall, and Afro-Caribbean influences. This year’s headliners are Vybz Kartel and Davido, two titans in their respective genres. The festival also welcomes Alborosie, the Italian-born reggae star who has carved out a space in the Jamaican scene, alongside Mr. Vegas, Inner Circle(band), Teejay, and Etana–all of whom add depth to the reggae-heavy segment of the lineup. Fans of conscious reggae can also look forward to performances from Jah9, Mortimer, and Junior Kelly, whose poetic lyricism continues to inspire.
SummerJam is known for embracing diverse sounds, and this year’s lineup proves no different.
