SONIC JOINS TIMBERLAND FOR ULTRA-RARE JAPAN-ONLY COLLAB

Timberland has partnered with SEGA to launch its first-ever Sonic the Hedgehog collaboration, an exclusive drop available only at the Timberland Shibuya PARCO store in Tokyo, celebrating the opening of SEGA STORE TOKYO.

The star piece is a 6‑inch Premium Waterproof Boot in classic wheat nubuck, upgraded with cobalt-blue laces and featuring a custom engraving of Sonic wearing the same boots on the lateral heel. Only 30 pairs will ever be made available, making them immediately collectible. Each purchaser can also take home a special hang‑tag, postcard, and sticker celebrating the collaboration.

Complementing the footwear are two graphic T-shirts, long- and short-sleeve, offered in black and white. Both versions showcase the custom Sonic art: one style features a large back print, while the other sports a chest emblem with sleeve logos. Each shirt style is tightly capped at 50 units per color.

Prices are set at ¥38,500 ($260 USD) for the boots, and ¥14,300 ($97) for long-sleeve shirts or ¥11,000 (~$75) for short sleeves . No pre-orders are available, and shoppers are limited to one pair of boots and one of each shirt style, with purchases restricted to in-person collection only.

This collab merges Timberland’s classic utilitarian heritage with Sonic’s energetic legacy, positioning the character in unexpected crossover territory. While most fans outside Japan may never see the gear firsthand, the release stands as a vivid example of niche pop‑culture fashion at its most exclusive
