SOCIEDAD TEXTIL LONIA ACQUIRES CHRISTIAN LACROIX.

Spanish company Sociedad Textil Lonia (STL) has acquired the French luxury fashion house Christian Lacroix in a private transaction. The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed. Christian Lacroix, renowned for its baroque and embroidered designs since its founding in 1987, was previously owned by the Falic Group. This acquisition allows STL, which manages brands like CH Carolina Herrera and Purificación García, to expand its brand portfolio and strengthen its international presence in the high fashion industry. 

STL expressed enthusiasm about incorporating the legacy and boundless creativity of Maison Lacroix into its business endeavors. The company stated, “We will do everything we can to ensure that the unique talent of its creator and his invaluable contribution to the fashion world reach their full potential.” Christian Lacroix, the brand’s founder, has welcomed the acquisition, noting that the new owners appreciate the brand’s heritage and craftsmanship.

Currently, STL operates over 600 stores worldwide and employs more than 2,500 people. The company has not yet announced specific plans regarding the future direction or management of the Lacroix label.
