UK rapper Skepta took over London Fashion Week with the debut of his MAINS SS25 collection, inspired by a schoolboy-themed collegiate style. The star-studded event, held at 80 Vincent Square, featured British A-listers like Central Cee, Gabriel Moses, and Mahalia in attendance. Skepta, along with chief designer Mikey Pearce and graphic designer Johnson Orchid, curated an exclusive showcase that brought the concept of “MAINS University” to life.
The venue was transformed into a playful academic setting, complete with sticker-covered lockers and colorful university flags. True to his style, Skepta limited the collection to 27 unisex pieces, blending menswear and womenswear. Fans were teased on social media with glimpses of the line, which included long-haired wigs, branded neckties, and a special collaboration with Kickers.
The show opened with models strutting down a cement runway in bold looks like graphic double-breasted suits featuring school supply motifs. Oversized silhouettes and exaggerated details dominated the collection, from sheer button-down shirts to leather wrestling shorts. MAINS University logos were stamped onto bomber jackets and USA-themed sweater vests, while bodybuilding graphics appeared on distressed T-shirts. Accessories such as leopard and camouflage-printed neckties, pocket squares, and headgear brought even more personality to the looks, accompanied by colorful school bags, leather gloves, and floral-printed caps.
The highlight of the show was Skepta’s official reveal of the MAINS x Kickers footwear collaboration, showcasing old-school leather boots with yellow gum soles available in red, black, and brown.
