Track-and-field star Sha’Carri Richardson has unveiled Nike’s latest women’s sneaker, the Nike Air Superfly, in a series of striking studio shots shared on her social media.
The two-time Olympic gold medalist showcased the sleek new design while styling it with a Nike track jacket, a ruffled skirt, and knee-high socks, capturing attention with her bold fashion-forward approach.
“1 of 1! The only one! New Nike Women Air silhouette!” Richardson wrote on Instagram, revealing the updated take on the archival model that originally debuted in 2001.
Designed by Caprice Neely, the original Nike Air Superfly became a cult favorite and later inspired collaborations with high-fashion brands like Comme des Garçons.
The updated sneaker stays true to its roots, featuring a streamlined, running-inspired silhouette. The design is made of a silver upper with perforations for breathability, complemented by a glossy black tongue and a smooth midsole.
Branding is subtle, with the iconic Nike Swoosh adorning the back and the Nike Air logo prominently displayed on the tongue.
Though Nike has yet to announce the official release date, Richardson hinted at the shoe’s availability, stating it’s “coming soon…” Fans of the original and newcomers alike can look forward to this modern reinterpretation of a Nike classic, now reimagined for today’s runners and sneaker enthusiasts.
