RACHEL SCOTT ANNOUNCED AS CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF PROENZA SCHOULER

Proenza Schouler has officially appointed Rachel Scott, founder of the artisanal label Diotima, as its new creative director, stepping into the role previously held by founders Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, who have since moved to Loewe. Scott takes the helm at yesterday, bringing with her a deeply textured vision drawn from her Jamaican heritage, craft-focused design ethos, and celebrated runway impact.

A veteran of global fashion houses including Costume National, Elizabeth and James, and J. Mendel, Scott launched Diotima in 2021. She quickly emerged as a trailblazer in the post-pandemic era, earning back-to-back CFDA awards for Emerging Designer and Women’s Wear Designer of the Year, without staging a traditional runway show.

Scott’s first Proenza Schouler collection is slated to launch in February 2026, building from her earlier involvement as a consultant on the Spring/Summer 2026 season. Meanwhile, she continues to lead Diotima, showcasing her dual creative voice across both platforms.
