Prada unveils Couleur Vivante, its third fine jewelry collection, reimagining luxury through a kaleidoscope of color and chromatic tension. Spearheaded by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, the collection redefines gemstone hierarchy by prioritizing shade over rarity. Amethyst, aquamarine, madeira citrine, pink morganite, and oro-verde peridot, once considered “semiprecious,” are now central to Prada’s daring color narrative.
Traditional jewelry archetypes, drop earrings, solitaire rings, line bracelets, and rivière necklaces, are recast through subversive design. The pieces blend asymmetrical balance, skewed proportions, and the sharp geometry of the Prada Cut (a subtle triangular motif), transforming classic forms into boldly contemporary statements.
The campaign features arresting black-and-white portraits of Amanda Gorman, Maya Hawke, and Kim Tae-Ri, captured by photographer David Sims and styled by Katie Burnett. These monochrome visuals are overlaid with translucent veils of color, creating a hyperreal effect that allows the jewelry to glow like fragments of light.
True to Prada’s forward-thinking ethos, each piece tracks its journey via the Aura Consortium blockchain, from its raw origin to its polished form. These certificates ensure traceability and authenticity while retaining an enigmatic touch, the more transparency, the more mystery remains.
