ODUMODU BLVCK DEBUTS PATTA X NIKE AIR MAX 90 “WAVES” AT CITY SPLASH FESTIVAL AHEAD OF SUMMER 2025 RELEASE

At the vibrant City Splash Festival in London, Nigerian rap phenomenon ODUMODUBLVCK stole the spotlight not only with his commanding performance but also with his bold fashion choice, debuting the unreleased Patta x Nike Air Max 90Waves” collection. The moment was more than just a musical statement; it was a calculated cultural flex, positioning ODUMODUBLVCK at the intersection of Afro-influence and global streetwear. Dressed in a sleek matching Patta tracksuit and the standout “Cyber Green” colorway of the upcoming sneaker, the artist delivered an exclusive first look at one of the year’s most anticipated collaborations.

Set to drop in Summer 2025, the Patta x Nike Air Max 90 “Waves” collection builds on the momentum of the duo’s critically acclaimed 2021 “Waves” release on the Air Max 1. This time, Patta and Nike bring their signature ripple design to the iconic Air Max 90 silhouette, an evolution that marries nostalgia with innovation. The collection features two core colorways–“Cyber Green” and “Sapphire,” both of which incorporate textured black leather mudguards designed with a wavy aesthetic that’s instantly recognizable. These wavy elements wrap around thick mesh bases and supple nubuck overlays in a palette of Particle Grey and Neutral Grey. What truly sets them apart, however, are the vivid accent hues: the electric Cyber Green and deep Sapphire detailing bring vibrancy and edge to the otherwise muted tones.

Adding further depth to the design are metallic silver Swooshes, exclusive Patta-branded tongue tags, and tonal TPU eyelets and outsoles that anchor the sneaker in high-concept craftsmanship. The collection, priced at $150 USD, is expected to launch via Patta’s official outlets, Nike SNKRS, and select Nike Sportswear retailers globally.

ODUMODUBLVCK’s early endorsement of the “Cyber Green” pair not only builds hype for the collection but also underscores his growing role as a cultural tastemaker and fashion icon. His alignment with Patta–a brand known for celebrating African heritage through its collaborations–feels deliberate and powerful, especially on a UK stage known for its multicultural resonance. With the fusion of streetwear, sneaker culture, and Afrocentric flair, this unveiling at City Splash sets the tone for a summer drop that’s already creating waves.
