NOAH LYLES UNVEILS BAD BUNNY X ADIDAS

Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles turned heads at the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix this past weekend, not just for his presence but for his choice of footwear. The fastest man in the world debuted the highly anticipated Bad Bunny x Adidas Adizero SL72 collaboration, giving fans their first glimpse of the unique sneaker.

Rumored since early November, the Adizero SL72 blends elements of Adidas’ classic SL72 upper with a contemporary Adizero sole. The result is a striking hybrid design with layered details resembling a shedding cocoon. Lyles sported the “Off White/Chalk/Wonder White” colorway, a clean, monochromatic palette accented by blue branding and a subtle black detail on the heel. The upper stays true to the retro SL72, while the lower sections feature modern materials, including rough-hewn mesh, shaggy suede overlays, and lined details on the heel. A sleek midsole completes the innovative look.

Lyles, a prominent Adidas athlete, has recently expressed his desire for a signature sneaker of his own, beyond track spikes. “For the medals we win and the recognition we bring, it’s crazy that track stars don’t have signature shoe deals,” he said after his gold medal win in the 100m at the Paris Olympic Games.

Despite his aspirations, Lyles seems to admire the work of his fellow Adidas collaborator, Bad Bunny, as evidenced by his enthusiastic debut of the Adizero SL72. Fans of both sport and sneaker culture are eagerly awaiting the official release.
