Renowned filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan is set to premiere his latest movie, “Recall,” at the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) on November 7th.
This gripping psychological thriller promises to take audiences on an emotional rollercoaster through the vibrant streets of Lagos.
“Recall’s theme explores the complex narrative around Goke and Anita’s Romeo & Juliet love-bond story, which hits an unexpected and mysterious tale. With Sharon Ooja leading the cast, Afolayan’s latest project is shrouded in suspense.
Speaking on the project, Ooja says, “This movie is truly dear to my heart as I gave it something … I remember reading the script, and I was so shocked !!! And I had to ask people if things like this truly happen and I was so shocked to hear that it happens every single day.”
This announcement marks Afolayan’s second major project reveal this year, hot on the heels of Netflix renewing his hit series “Aníkúlápó” for a second season.
The director has been teasing behind-the-scenes glimpses from “Aníkúlápó”‘s upcoming season, introducing new cast members and fueling anticipation.
