KARL URBAN IS JOHNNY CAGE IN FIRST LOOK AT MORTAL KOMBAT 2

Karl Urban has officially been revealed as Johnny Cage in the first teaser for Mortal Kombat 2.

The short clip, styled as a fake movie trailer called Uncaged Fury, gives fans their first proper look at the character complete with the signature sunglasses, fight scenes, and big personality.

Urban walks through fire, throws punches, and drops cheesy lines in full Cage fashion. It’s bold, flashy, and exactly what fans expected.

This is the first time Johnny Cage has appeared in the new Mortal Kombat universe. He was teased at the end of the 2021 reboot, and now Urban is stepping into the role with full confidence.

The full trailer  drops July 17. The movie hits cinemas October 24, 2025.
