Justin Timberlake recently postponed his scheduled concert in Newark, New Jersey, after suffering an unexpected injury. The pop icon shared the news on Instagram, expressing his deep regret to fans for having to delay the performance. “I’m so sorry to postpone tonight’s show,” Timberlake wrote, explaining that an injury was preventing him from performing. He assured fans that efforts are underway to reschedule the concert as soon as possible, promising to deliver the show “y’all deserve.”
The Cry Me a River singer also thanked fans for their continued support and understanding during this time. Timberlake is currently on his massive “Forget Tomorrow World Tour,” with his next performance scheduled for October 11 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
This comes just weeks after Timberlake faced legal issues related to his June arrest in the Hamptons for driving while intoxicated. Last month, the singer pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of driving while ability impaired, a noncriminal offense. After the hearing, Timberlake took the opportunity to warn others about the dangers of drinking and driving, urging them to consider safer alternatives like calling a friend or using ride-sharing services. His driver’s license was subsequently suspended in New York following the incident.
Despite the recent setback, Timberlake remains focused on delivering for his fans, with the hopes of rescheduling his New Jersey show soon.
The singer is also promoting his sixth solo album, Everything I Thought It Was, which features the lead single Selfish. This album marks his first release since 2018’s Man of the Woods.
