JUNYA WATANABE FW26: CHAOS MEETS COUTURE ON THE PARIS RUNWAY

Junya Watanabe’s Fall/Winter 2026 show turned Paris Fashion Week into a kinetic spectacle. Models glided to Astor Piazzolla’s Libertango, blending elegance with unpredictable energy, their looks punctuated by retro finger waves and streaked mascara.

The collection explored Watanabe’s love of moto culture, reimagining helmets, gloves, and protective gear into oversized, sculptural silhouettes. Playful contrasts came from pieces adorned with faux fur, Lurex knits, and stitched-in stuffed toys, creating a fusion of toughness and whimsy.

“The Art of Assemblage Couture” showcases Watanabe’s talent for turning unconventional materials into wearable art, proving that a little chaos can make couture feel alive, surprising, and entirely modern.
