JOHN DAVID WASHINGTON STARS IN NEW TOM FORD BOIS PACIFIQUE CAMPAIGN

Tom Ford has unveiled its latest fragrance, Bois Pacifique, with a campaign featuring actor John David Washington. The campaign, shot by photographer David Sims, captures Washington’s journey through the majestic redwoods of Big Sur, California, embodying the fragrance’s themes of freedom and self-expression. Washington, known for his roles in films like “BlacKkKlansman” and “Tenet,” brings a sense of adventure and introspection to the campaign, aligning with Tom Ford’s commitment to quality and innovation.

Bois Pacifique is Tom Ford’s 133rd fragrance, crafted to evoke the tranquility and vitality of nature. The scent features a blend of sandalwood, cedar, and oakwood, complemented by notes of cardamom, akigalawood™, and aromatic turmeric. This composition aims to transport wearers to a serene, almost spiritual place, reminiscent of standing amidst a redwood forest bathed in the soft glow of the setting sun.

In developing Bois Pacifique, Tom Ford Beauty embraced technological advancements by incorporating artificial intelligence into the fragrance creation process. This innovative approach, in collaboration with perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux and Givaudan’s AI tool Carto, allowed for a unique balance of woody notes, resulting in a fragrance that is both rich and luminous. Additionally, the inclusion of akigalawood, a sustainably developed fragrance molecule derived from fermented biotechnology, reflects the brand’s commitment to eco-conscious luxury.
