J BALVIN x G-SHOCK UNVEILS COLLABORATION

Colombian music sensation J Balvin has partnered with Casio’s G-SHOCK to release a limited-edition watch set, marking his inaugural venture into timepiece design. As a longtime fan of G-Shock, the Colombian superstar is making his debut in the world of horology through this partnership. This marks the first-ever collaboration between the Latin music icon and the iconic watch brand.

The collaboration centers on the G-SHOCK DWE5600 series, featuring a “Time Matters” box set that includes a black bezel and band, interchangeable with a translucent matte yellow option. The watch face displays “Ma’ G,” a nod to Balvin’s track from his album “JOSE,” while the band showcases his signature lightning logo from the 2016 album “Energía.” Notably, this model introduces Spanish text on the button labels, a first for G-SHOCK, reflecting Balvin’s personal touch. 

The DWE-5600 watch is constructed with a Carbon Core Guard case for enhanced durability and is expected to be priced around $230 USD. While an official release date has not been announced, the watch is anticipated to be available worldwide. This collaboration exemplifies G-SHOCK’s ongoing efforts to blend fashion, music, and technology, appealing to a diverse, global audience.
