IMAX 70MM TICKETS FOR NOLANS THE ODYSSEY SELL OUT IN MINUTES

IMAX officially announced on their social media that tickets for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey went on sale at midnight Thursday ET.

Within one hour, a staggering 95% of available seats were purchased, representing approximately $1.5 million in revenue despite the limited number of IMAX 70 mm seats available.

The screenings are for the opening weekend of July 16–19, 2026, across about 25–26 premium-format cinemas worldwide those equipped with IMAX 70 mm projection, in line with Nolan’s preferred large-format vision.

In major markets like Melbourne, US cities, London, and San Francisco, theaters saw rapid sellouts. AMC Metreon 16 in San Francisco and the Science Museum IMAX in London reported only a few front-row or accessible seats remaining.
