“I Used to Fail in my First Year…” – Says Tayo Okoya.

In an interview with SimonSaysDrip for the segment, behind the stitch, CEO of World Black Fantasy (WBF), Tayo Okoya talks about his beginnings and how he started WBF and what the name, WBF, stands for. 

“When I was in JSS 3, I literally sketched my first collection of clothes…”. Tayo said in the interview.

Tayo also said the name, World Black Fantasy, was a reflection of himself and how he sees the world as a black man. 

“World Black Fantasy is more or less like I’m trying to give everybody a fantasy” . 

In the interview, he talked about how he studied 3D animation in University and didn’t pass until he linked his designs to his brand. 

“I didn’t used to pass for like the first year but then I decided to link it to my brand and it just became a thing…, from there, I just started passing all my classes”
