Jonathan Anderson, fresh off his win as 2024 Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards, has teamed up with Harry Styles’ Pleasing label for a playful, balloon-inspired collection under his JW Anderson brand.
This collaboration has been in the works for quite some time, according to Harry Lambert, Pleasing’s creative director and Styles’ long-time stylist. Lambert, who interned for Anderson early in his career, also famously dressed Styles in a color-blocked JW Anderson cardigan in 2020, which became a viral sensation known as the #HarryStylesCardigan.
The collection features 12 pieces that blend whimsical designs with bold colors. Highlights include the “Bunch of Balloons” cardigan, where colorful balloons float over the shoulder of a collared knit design, and the “Balloon Star” long-sleeve shirt, adorned with star-shaped balloons across the torso. Other items in the line include a semi-sheer shirt covered in vibrant balloons and cozy crewnecks and hoodies, showcasing both brands’ iconic imagery.
The accessory offerings in the collection are equally imaginative, featuring the Bumber 15 bag in a striking green-black color combo, green balloon star bag charms, and quirky sparkly keychains in playful shapes like a penis, available in purple and yellow finishes.
The collaboration also extends to a limited-edition nail polish set, with shades of silver-black, yellow, orange, and purple.
The Pleasing x JW Anderson collection is available now for purchase on both brands’ websites, with prices ranging from $20 to $990.
