The annual Lagos-based music spectacle Flytime Fest is gearing up for its 2025 edition, scheduled for December 22–25 in Lagos, with headliners confirmed as Asake, Davido and Flavour. The announcement arrives as the festival continues to anchor what’s known locally as “Detty December” a high-energy season of music, entertainment and nightlife that has become a staple in Nigeria’s year-end culture.
Asake and Davido’s inclusion maintains their longstanding presence on the Flytime stage, both artists have headlined previous editions and helped build the festival’s reputation for high-octane Afrobeats performances. Flavour’s addition adds further dimension, bridging Afrobeats with high-life roots and offering a broader musical flavour for the four-day event. The lineup reflects the festival’s strategy of combining massive domestic drawcards with regional sonic diversity to attract both local and international audiences.
With just over a month until kick-off, expectations are high. Flytime’s production has increasingly embraced global standards, from LED stage design to VIP hospitality and multi-venue experiences, positioning itself not simply as a concert, but as an immersive cultural moment. The festival’s timing in December also ensures it benefits from the heightened Nigeria entertainment economy, as travel, events and celebrations ramp up across the country.
