The song features the renown Seun Kuti, son of Afrobeat pioneer and legend Fela Kuti, so you just know the outstanding nature of the track. The fusion of sounds displayed on “Ecstasy” creates an ethereal atmosphere with Fireboy’s sonorous vocals blending seamlessly with Seun’s adept delivery of soulful melodies with the saxophone. Seun Kuti’s contribution adds depth and authenticity to the track, in a manner that truly elevates it.

Released just yesterday evening, the “Ecstasy” music video has quickly garnered attention for its vibrant visuals and dynamic performances. Less than 24 hours since its release, the video has already amassed nearly 400,000 views on YouTube, reflecting just how impressive the video is.

Directed by the extremely talented filmmaker, Olu The Wave, the video effortlessly embodies an otherworldly aesthetic, giving the sensual and the seductive an almost spiritual aura. The use of black and gold as the video’s color themes, denotes an artist’s skillful touch and a very particular attention to detail–given that black and gold is the theme for the album’s cover art as well.

Each scene portrays the song’s wordings perfectly with golden eyed and extremely attractive vixens, dominating the film. The power radiating off the muscled drummers, the sublime elegance of the dancers, the passionate energy that rolls off Seun Kuti as he blows his saxophone and the magnetic aura that emanates off Fireboy, evident in his eyes and his carriage–all of it is beyond impressive, a sight to behold indeed. The videographer certainly deserves accolades with the level of creativity displayed on this video.

The “Ecstasy” music video offers fans an accurate visual representation of Fireboy’s artistic vision. As Fireboy DML continues to push the boundaries of Afrobeats, collaborations like “Ecstasy” highlight his commitment to honoring the genre’s roots while propelling it into the future.
