FEMI ADEBAYO’S JAGUN JAGUN SWEEPS 6 TROPHIES AT 2024 BON AWARDS

The 2024 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards became a coronation for Femi Adebayo’s cinematic masterpiece, Jagun Jagun.

 The Netflix-backed Yoruba epic stole the spotlight at the 16th edition of the prestigious awards, held Sunday night at the Sugar Factory Film Studios, Ilorin, Kwara.

Hosted by Nollywood heavyweight Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi, the evening had moments with stars, but it was Jagun Jagun who held the flaming torch. The film bagged six trophies, including “Best Actor,” “Best Indigenous Film,” and “Best Special Effects.”

Emerging as a fan favorite since its August 2023 release, Jagun Jagun walks into the life of a revered warlord whose iron grip on power begins to dawn when a young warrior disrupts his domain. It secured nominations in 12 categories.

Other notable wins came from Momiwa, which claimed “Best Editing” and “Best Screenplay.”
