Disney has released an exciting first look at its upcoming live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch during the D23 Brazil event. The news still reveals Experiment 626, the beloved alien character Stitch, who quickly became a fan favorite following the release of the original animated film in 2002.
This live-action reimagining will hit theaters worldwide in 2025, marking Disney’s latest effort to bring animated classics to a new generation. Directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, the film is written by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and based on the original characters created by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois. Maia Kealoha stars as Lilo, with Sanders reprising his voice role as Stitch.
The cast also features Zach Galifianakis, Sydney Agudong, Billy Magnussen, and Courtney B. Vance, along with original stars Tia Carrere, Amy Hill, and Jason Scott Lee.
