It’s been less than a week since the release of the hot hit track Funds by Davido, and true to form, he has taken the song to the next level with a visually stunning music video, released on Monday, December 9th. Featuring Odumodublvck and Chike, the video tells a story of opulence and charm, seamlessly blending elements of drama, luxury, and celebration.
The opening scene sets the tone with Davido at an exclusive auction, where the talented Nigerian actor Gabriel Afolayan plays a charismatic auctioneer for a special art piece: Brenda Fassie’s iconic headgear–paying homage to the late Queen of African Pop.
As Davido takes a sip of Martell cognac, the brand he represents as an ambassador, reality TV star Beauty Tukura makes her entrance, exuding style and confidence. Another scene features Odumodublvck and Chike joining Davido in a vibrant club setting, delivering an electrifying performance to an ecstatic crowd.
A particularly memorable moment involves Davido at the poker table, reconnecting with the mysterious lady from the auction (Beauty Tukura) amidst the high-stakes glamour of the casino. This time, however, she triumphs.
