On December 24, 2024, Davido, the Grammy-nominated Nigerian superstar, delivered a spectacular performance at Flytime Fest 2024, held at the Eko Convention Center in Lagos. The event, marking the festival’s 20th anniversary, has been a highlight of this year’s festive season and Davido’s set did not disappoint in any way.
His set was a masterclass in showmanship, featuring a dynamic mix of his classic hits and recent releases from gold oldies like “Dami Duro,” “Dodo,” “Aye,” ” Fia” and “Like Dat” to more recent tracks off his ”Timeless” album like “Unavailable,” “Feel” and “For The Road,” amongst other songs. The audience was particularly thrilled by his opening performance of “Over Dem,” a fan favorite that showcased his magnetic stage presence.
Adding to the night’s excitement, Davido brought out special guests Odumodu Blvck and Chike, who joined him on stage for an energetic performance of their collaboration, “Funds” that elevated the concert’s energy. He also brought out our very own Fave with whom he performed their collaboration, “Kante.” One of the “Ogechi” crooners, Boypee pulled up as well to give an exciting performance alongside Davido. Then there was Davido’s record label signee, Morravey, who delivered a beautiful performance to the audience as well.
The crowd’s enthusiasm was palpable, with attendees singing along to every song and dancing throughout the night. Social media buzzed with praise for Davido’s performance, with fans and critics alike lauding his ability to captivate and entertain.
