Trailgrip gets bigger, winter boots get more luxurious and collaborations with Rick Owens, Clarks Originals and Moon Boot push Moncler’s footwear into unexpected territory.
The Moncler FW26 footwear collection is built around a familiar idea for the French-Italian house: take the conditions of the mountains and make them work somewhere completely different.
For Fall/Winter 2026, that means a footwear lineup that moves between technical sneakers, insulated boots and fashion-driven collaborations without losing the performance DNA that has always defined Moncler.
There is plenty here for the outdoors, but the bigger story is how naturally these designs translate into everyday wardrobes. Rugged soles, weather-resistant materials and protective construction sit alongside suede, leather and carefully considered proportions, giving the collection a distinctly urban edge.
The Clarks Originals collaboration is one of the clearest examples of Moncler playing with familiar footwear codes.
The Moncler + Clarks Originals Trailgrip Wallabee CTX takes the unmistakable Wallabee shape and gives it a much tougher personality.
The classic suede upper is joined by GORE-TEX protection and Moncler’s Trailgrip Vibram outsole, turning a silhouette better known for relaxed city dressing into something ready for wet streets, rough terrain and unpredictable weather.
It feels less like Moncler borrowing from Clarks and more like the two brands finding a believable middle ground.
Then things get considerably more dramatic.
The Moncler + Rick Owens Trailgrip Megalace pushes the brand’s outdoor language into Rick Owens’ unmistakable world of exaggerated proportions and architectural design.
Padded nylon and leather form the foundation, while an oversized rear-lacing system and sculpted collar give the sneaker an almost futuristic presence.
It still belongs to the Trailgrip family, but it looks nothing like a conventional hiking shoe.
That tension between performance and extreme design is exactly what makes the collaboration stand out.
Moncler also looks beyond traditional alpine references with the Moon Boot x Moncler Grenoble Icon High Rodeo.
The silhouette combines the exaggerated presence of a winter boot with Western-inspired details, including embroidered suede elements that bring a cowboy influence into the snow-ready design.
It is an unusual combination on paper, but it makes sense within the wider collection.
Moncler is increasingly treating winter footwear as a space where different cultural references can collide rather than simply designing another variation of the traditional snow boot.
While the collaborations grab the headlines, Moncler’s own Trailgrip franchise remains central to the season.
FW26 introduces several new iterations, including the Trailgrip GTX, Trailgrip Lite3, Trailgrip Apex GTX and Trailgrip Craft.
Across the range, the brand leans into materials and technologies designed to make the shoes capable of handling more demanding environments.
Vibram outsoles provide traction, while OrthoLite insoles focus on cushioning and comfort. Select models also introduce carbon-fiber components alongside premium suede and technical constructions.
The message is pretty straightforward: Trailgrip is no longer just one sneaker in Moncler’s lineup. It has become a platform the brand can keep reinventing.
Moncler’s cold-weather offering takes a softer approach.
The Peak Snowcap and women’s Peak Après combine shearling, nappa leather and Merino wool, giving traditional winter protection a considerably more luxurious finish.
Elsewhere, the new Vera boot series offers a more versatile option for everyday winter dressing, while the archival-inspired Altive Mid adds another layer of heritage to the lineup.
These aren’t pieces designed to disappear into a technical wardrobe.
Moncler is clearly interested in making winter footwear part of the outfit itself, rather than something chosen purely because the weather demands it.
The most interesting thing about Moncler’s FW26 footwear is that the collection doesn’t really ask you to choose between function and fashion.
The same design language that protects against snow, rain and rough terrain is being translated into silhouettes that make sense on city streets.
That has become increasingly important as outdoor gear continues to influence luxury fashion. Consumers are looking for products that can survive real-world conditions without looking like they belong exclusively on a mountain.
Moncler understands that space particularly well.
For FW26, the brand takes its technical foundation, mixes in a healthy dose of luxury and then lets collaborators like Rick Owens, Clarks Originals and Moon Boot take the story in completely different directions.
The result is a footwear collection that feels less like a seasonal assortment and more like a snapshot of where modern outdoor fashion is heading.
The Moncler Fall/Winter 2026 footwear collection will roll out between early September and late November 2026.
