The second annual People’s Choice Country Awards, hosted by Shania Twain, will be held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee, where fans will exclusively choose all 18 award winners. Leading the nominations this year is Beyoncé, with an impressive 12 nods, thanks in part to her groundbreaking project “Cowboy Carter.” Close behind is Zach Bryan, who has secured 11 nominations, while Kacey Musgraves follows with 10.
The creator of “Cowboy Carter” has earned nominations in several major categories, including Female Artist, Social Country Star, Album, Song, Female Song, Collaboration Song, Cover Song, Crossover Song, and Storyteller Song.
She received double nominations in the Female Song category for her tracks “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ’Em.” Additionally, she secured two nodes in the Cover Song category for her renditions of The Beatles’ “Blackbird” and Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.” She’s also up for the top honor of the night, The People’s Artist of 2024.
Other notable nominees include Dolly Parton, Post Malone, Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, Carly Pearce, Megan Moroney, Morgan Wallen, and “Cowboy Carter” collaborator Shaboozey.
The 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards will air live on NBC and stream on Peacock on Thursday, September 26, at 7 p.m. CT. Before the main event, the “Live From E!: People’s Choice Country Awards” red carpet event will begin at 5 p.m. CT on E!
This year’s performers include Miranda Lambert, Kane Brown, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Lady A, Parker McCollum, and The War and Treaty. Presenters such as Carly Pearce, Dan + Shay, Little Big Town, and comedian Nate Bargatze will also grace the stage.
Voting for the awards, which closed on August 23, spanned across categories including People’s Artist of 2024, Female Artist of 2024, Male Artist of 2024, Group/Duo of 2024, New Artist of 2024, and Song of 2024, among many others.
