BALENCIAGA’S CÉDRIC CHAR IT APPOINTED AS NEW YSL C.E.O

Cédric Charbit, the current CEO of Balenciaga, has been appointed as the new CEO of Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), effective January 2, 2025. 

This marks a return to YSL for Charbit, who previously worked at the brand in various leadership roles from 2012 to 2016 before taking over at Balenciaga. 

His appointment follows Francesca Bellettini’s transition to a broader role as Kering’s Deputy CEO in charge of Brand Development.

At Balenciaga, Charbit oversaw significant growth, expanding the brand’s presence and reintroducing its haute couture line in 2020. His task at YSL will be to leverage his experience to further strengthen the brand’s positioning and growth amidst industry challenges.
