Afrobeats stars, Rema, Shallipopi, and Omah Lay feature in EA FC 25th Soundtrack Edition

Electronic Arts Sports has revealed the official soundtrack for its iconic football video game, EA Football Club (EA FC), celebrating its 25th edition. This year’s soundtrack shines the spotlight on Africa’s vibrant Afrobeats genre.

Nigerian music stars Rema, Shallipopi, and Omah Lay are among the featured artists. Rema’s hit single “Benin Boys” (feat. Shallipopi) and Omah Lay’s chart-topper “Moving” showcase the best of Afrobeats.

Also on the lineup is Obongjayar, a Nigerian-born UK-based musician, with his 2022 single “Tomorrow Man.”

The soundtrack marks a significant milestone for Afrobeats, introducing its peculiar elements to a broader audience.

EA FC’s 25th edition soundtrack promotes cultural exchange and celebrates the diversity of African music.

Speaking on the game, Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive and President of Music for

Electronic Arts referred to FC 25 as “a global celebration of new music that crosses borders,embraces various genres, and offers numerous surprises.” He highlighted that the “EA Music team spent nearly a year curating an epic soundtrack that will define the sound of the coming season and elevate the spirit of the game like never before.
