Afro-Futurism Meets High Fashion with Siaa A/W ‘24

Siaa.thebrandworldwide under the creative direction of Victoria Onuigbo has ventured into Afro-futurism with its new Autumn/Winter 2024 collection titled “The Battle Mind: Coming Home.” The collection is inspired by the mental struggles faced daily, particularly drawing from the generational trauma experienced by people across Africa and its diaspora.

At its core, the concept of “battle mind” symbolizes the mindset of a warrior in pursuit of self-realization and peace, embodying resilience and persistence. 

Siaa’s designs channel the extravagant tailoring of Nigerian fashion from the 1980s to 2000s, blending it with contemporary streetwear and avant-garde styles.

This collection serves as a powerful artistic statement, embracing Afro-futurism and emphasizing the importance of progress and experimentation with diverse fabrics, bold shapes, and vibrant colors.
