The latest capsule from adidas SPZL for Autumn/Winter 2025 is a deep-dive into football culture’s aesthetic roots, remixed for streetwear today. Curated by long-time collaborator Gary Aspden, the collection celebrates the brand’s first decade while returning to the terraces, subculture and community that shaped it.
At the heart of AW25 is a wardrobe built for “those who live and breathe the Three Stripes,” a phrase the collection uses to reinforce its connection to football’s grassroots. The campaign features Declan Rice, Arsenal midfielder and cultural figure, bridging sport, style and authenticity.
Key items include the fully seam-sealed rain-resistant SPZL Anorak, the Mod–Trefoil Bramhope blouson and the utilitarian Merkland jacket in charcoal. Underneath sit hoodies, track pants, polos, graphic tees and sweaters that ground the collection in street-informed context. On the accessories front, pieces such as the olive Ferndene barrel bag, fleece-lined Grisedale hat and Mod-Trefoil key-ring speak the language of terrace-utility meets sport-heritage.
Footwear anchors much of the narrative. The Samoa II SPZL references a vintage Japanese silhouette, updated with woven tongue branding and heel overlay. The München II SPZL blends Gazelle tooling with nylon stripes, while the Wensley SPZL moves to all-suede. For outdoor or winter use, the NY II Outdoor SPZL runner and Grisedale SPZL boot include adiTex waterproof technology.
