JACOB & CO. COLLABORATES WITH BUGATTI TO RELEASE NEW WATCH

In a remarkable fusion of high horology and automotive excellence, Jacob & Co. has partnered with Bugatti to unveil the Bugatti Tourbillon wristwatch, a timepiece that epitomizes the pinnacle of luxury and engineering. This collaboration celebrates Bugatti’s latest hyper sports car, also named the Tourbillon, and reflects the shared ethos of both brands in pushing the boundaries of innovation.

The Bugatti Tourbillon watch features a 52 x 44 mm case inspired by the hypercar’s design elements. At its heart lies a visible V16 engine block automaton, meticulously crafted from a single block of transparent sapphire, forming part of the hand-wound caliber JCAM55 movement, which comprises 557 components. When activated via the crown, the engine animates with 20 full sequences on a single wind, mimicking the movement of the car’s 16 pistons. Additional features include a 30-second flying tourbillon at 10 o’clock, a 48-hour twin power reserve indicator at 2 o’clock, and an off-centered jumping retrograde hours and minutes display designed to replicate an RPM counter. 

Limited to 250 pieces, matching the hyper sports car’s production, the initial 150 watches are offered in black DLC titanium, each priced at $340,000. Benjamin Arabov, CEO of Jacob & Co., emphasized that the watch is a testament to Bugatti’s engineering marvels and pays homage to Ettore Bugatti’s legacy of pushing boundaries. The collaboration, which spanned two years, involved close cooperation between both teams to integrate the watch’s design with the car’s aesthetics and engineering feats.
