DENZEL WASHINGTON SET FOR POWERFUL ROLE IN BLACK PANTHER 3

Denzel Washington has confirmed he is set to join Black Panther 3, marking one of his final appearances on screen before retirement. During an interview on Australia’s Today Show, the celebrated actor shared that director Ryan Coogler is crafting a role specifically for him in the upcoming Marvel film

Washington expressed that, at this stage in his career, he’s drawn to working with top-tier filmmakers and taking on new challenges. Reflecting on his career trajectory, he said, “I don’t know how many more films I’m going to make. It’s probably not that many. I want to do things I haven’t done.”

Washington’s planned role in Black Panther 3 would carry a personal significance for fans, given his deep connection with the late Chadwick Boseman, who previously honored Washington for his impact on Black actors in Hollywood.

Boseman, who starred as T’Challa in the Black Panther films, famously revealed that Washington helped fund his acting studies, paving the way for his career and his historic role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At Washington’s AFI Lifetime Achievement Award ceremony in 2019, Boseman remarked, “There is no Black Panther without Denzel Washington.”

As he prepares to step away from Hollywood, Washington is set to take on several final iconic roles, including reprising Othello on Broadway and collaborating with director Steve McQueen.

Though Marvel  is yet to make an official announcement about Black Panther 3, Washington’s involvement has fans eagerly anticipating the film and the legacy it will honor.
