Drake and Future have set their differences aside, according to hip-hop insider Elliott Wilson. In the latest chapter of this year’s rap civil war, the What a Time to Be Alive duo reportedly ended their beef during a private phone conversation.
“I have it on good authority that Drake and Future have at least gotten on the phone and resolved their differences,” Wilson disclosed on the recent episode of The Bigger Picture.
The détente may have been sparked by a message from Young Thug, who urged the pair and Metro Boomin to reunite via a comment he made on X tagging three of them “@Drake @1future @MetroBoomin we all bruddas, music ain’t the same without us collabin.”
Future reposted Thug’s message, which, according to Wilson, “helped the energy” between him and Drake.
However, despite being called out in Thug’s tweet, Metro Boomin wasn’t part of the reconciliation. “There’s no trust they still with Metro” Wilson joked. Adding, “but I do believe that Drake and Future are back on the same page.”
The truce follows a rocky few months for the two stars. Their rift went public after Future dropped We Don’t Trust You, a collaboration with Metro Boomin, laced with subliminal shots aimed at Drake.
