American YouTuber and streamer Kai Cenat is making an impact in Lagos, Nigeria, through his ‘Mafiathon 2’ fundraiser. He announced yesterday on Twitch that 20% of the funds from this campaign will be dedicated to building a school in Makoko, a densely populated, under-resourced waterfront community in Lagos known for its stilted homes.
This pledge follows Cenat’s earlier visit to Nigeria, where he was inspired by the community’s pressing need for better educational facilities. He donated an initial $2,800 to kickstart the project, and construction has already begun.
