Rihanna has officially launched her “soccer mom” era with the release of two new colorways for the Fenty x PUMA Avanti sneakers, merging her passion for family and football-inspired style. 

After the success of the revived Creeper last year, Rihanna continues her collaboration with PUMA by introducing the Avanti in “Club Red” and “Warm White.” Both colorways come in premium leather, featuring a chunky silhouette with sleek design details, including subtle gold accents. 

Reflecting on her design choices, Rihanna noted, “I wanted to make sneakers in colors I wanted to wear and see my kids wear,” adding that she chose vibrant, versatile colors that would fit effortlessly into everyday wear.

Rihanna’s inspiration for the Avanti comes from legendary soccer icons like Eusebio, Pelé, and Maradona, honoring PUMA’s rich archive of sports heritage. She described her vision of a sneaker that combines a modern aesthetic with classic athletic roots, suggesting that the Avanti has room for evolution and future iterations.

 Drawing parallels between the sneaker’s colors and her music, Rihanna likened the bold red to her Loud album and the cream-white hue to her debut album, Music of the Sun.

In a family-centered press conference led by kid influencers, Rihanna emphasized the importance of blending style with family practicality.
