Asake Surpasses 1 Billion Career Streams on Apple Music

MOBO award-winning afrobeat artiste, Asake has achieved a rare feat by surpassing one billion streams on Apple Music.

The singer, who is basking in the success of his Lungu Album, achieved this in less than three years.

This was disclosed on his official Fan page stating, “Asakemusik has surpassed 1 Billion career streams on AppleMusic – He did it in less than 3 years…”

This achievement isn’t just about numbers; it’s about impact. Asake’s music has soundtracked moments of joy, heartbreak, and triumph for millions. He’s inspired a new generation of artists to embrace their roots and push boundaries.

From “Mr. Money” to “Sungba” and many more, Asake’s hits have captured the essence of Nigerian youth culture, speaking directly to their aspirations, struggles, and desires. His unique sound, blending Fuji, Apala, and Afrobeats, has resonated globally.

Meanwhile, the singer recently sold out the 

20,000-capacity O2 Arena, in the UK, for the second time in two years. This was achieved in September when he performed at the 02 As  part of his ‘Lungu Boy World Tour’ 

As the only male African act, he also made it to Pitchfork’s latest list of best 100 albums of the 2020s with, ‘Work Of Art’.
