The fashion week, which serves as a global platform for African fashion designers, showcases diverse talents from across the continent, promoting African culture and heritage through fashion. AFWL is known for featuring a wide array of traditional and contemporary African designs, including textiles, accessories, and clothing, aiming to elevate the profile of African fashion on the international stage. The event itself will be held on 11th – 12th October.
This event is part of Queen Ronke’s ongoing commitment to promoting African heritage through fashion.
Since its inception in 2011, AFWL has grown to become one of the largest annual African fashion events in Europe. It also highlights sustainable fashion and encourages the use of locally sourced materials to support African economies.
