Asake Bags BRIT Silver Plaque for ‘Work of Art’ Album

Afrobeats star, Asake has received a silver plaque for his sophomore album, Work of Art.

This was presented to him by Hollywood star, Idris Elba at his sold-out O2 Arena concert, held on September 22, 2024.

Asake wowed fans with a groundbreaking performance of his hit tracks at the concert that also had in attendance Big Wiz and actor Idris Elba.

Asake has achieved incredible success in the United Kingdom, with all three of his albums reaching the top spot on the UK Apple Music Album Chart, making him the only Nigerian artist to accomplish this.

His recent sold-out concert at the O2 Arena further highlights his growing popularity in the UK, placing him alongside Afrobeats stars like Davido and Wizkid, who have also sold out the O2 Arena more than once.
