Nigerian Comedians AY and Basketmouth End 18-Year Beef

After almost two decades of beef, popular Nigerian comedians AY Makun and Basketmouth have reconciled their differences and put a stop to their feud.

The renowned entertainers announced their reconciliation with a joint Instagram skit, promoting their upcoming movie.

AY’s “The Waiter” premieres on December 20, while Basketmouth’s “A Ghetto Love Story” hits theaters on November 22.

Their feud began in 2006 over an unpaid debt of N30,000 (approximately $75). AY claimed Basketmouth owed him for a comedy show performance.

In a 2023 interview, AY shared his side of the story, while Basketmouth declined to respond.

The comedians’ reconciliation marks a new chapter in their careers.

“This collaboration signals a fresh start for both AY and Basketmouth,” said an industry insider.

Fans are excited to see the comedians work together again, bringing laughter and entertainment to Nigeria and beyond.

AY and Basketmouth’s renewed partnership promises exciting possibilities for Nigerian comedy.
