Fendi’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection marks a major milestone as the iconic fashion house celebrates its 100th anniversary. Spearheaded by Kim Jones and Silvia Venturini Fendi, this centennial celebration highlighted the pivotal role of the women who shaped Fendi’s history.
At the show, Venturini Fendi reflected on the brand’s origins with a touching conversation with her mother, Anna, broadcast over the speakers. Anna reminisced about her grandmother, Adele, who opened Fendi’s first store in 1925, sharing Adele’s wisdom: “You are like a hand with five fingers, each different but complementary.” This message remains a symbol of Fendi’s family legacy, with Silvia overseeing menswear, accessories, and childrenswear, while her daughter Delfina leads jewellery, serving as inspiration for Jones’ work.
Kim Jones, in honor of the brand’s heritage, delivered a collection that paid tribute to Fendi’s signature styles. The runway showcased lightweight dresses adorned with royal prints, fringed feminine tops, and intricate embellishments on delicate fabrics. Sheer shirts emphasized the female form, while an array of Baguette bags underscored the brand’s enduring influence. The collection was a celebration of womanhood, which has been at the heart of Fendi’s century-long success.
