The Denim Tears FW26 Collection pays tribute to one of fashion’s most influential voices, André Leon Talley. Created in partnership with the André Leon Talley Estate, the 153-piece collection marks the first official apparel collaboration authorized by the late editor’s estate, celebrating his lifelong impact on Black fashion, luxury, and cultural storytelling.
Designed by Tremaine Emory, the collection revisits Talley’s distinctive wardrobe and his role in championing Black designers throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. Featuring premium outerwear, collaborative apparel, and new interpretations of Denim Tears’ signature motifs, the collection blends history, activism, and contemporary streetwear.
The collection marks the first apparel project officially authorized by the André Leon Talley Estate. Rather than simply celebrating Talley’s image, Denim Tears explores the influence he had on fashion journalism, luxury culture, and the visibility of Black creatives within the industry.
Spanning 153 pieces, the collection includes outerwear, knitwear, graphic T-shirts, varsity jackets, workwear, accessories, and collaborative garments. It stands as one of the largest collections ever released by Denim Tears.
Inspired by Talley’s personal style throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, the collection reflects his passion for combining European luxury with Black fashion culture. It also celebrates the designers and brands he consistently championed long before they entered the mainstream.
Several collaborative projects appear throughout the collection, including new editions of Stüssy Tears, Billionaire Boys Club, and artwork by Los Angeles-based artist Spacebrat. Licensed NAACP graphics also feature across selected garments, reinforcing the collection’s historical and cultural significance.

The campaign stars designer Andre Walker, designer Edward Buchanan, and journalist Ashantéa Austin, reinforcing the collection’s celebration of Black creativity across fashion, media, and culture.
Instead of launching all 153 pieces simultaneously, Denim Tears will release the collection across five separate dropsthroughout the Fall/Winter season, allowing each chapter of the collection to receive its own spotlight.
The first release arrives on August 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. EST through Denim Tears online and at the Africa Diaspora Goods flagship store in New York City. Additional drops will continue throughout the season.
